چکیده
Although some studies have identified parasites in green turtles (Chelonia mydas), little is known about the morphology of helminth eggs feces these animals. The aim this study was to morphologically characterize recovered coproparasitological exams by sedimentation and analyze their relationship with species during necropsy juvenile specimens C. mydas. Four different egg morphotypes were found, identified, classified as digenetic trematodes families Microscaphidiidae, Cladorchiidae, Spirorchiidae. There morphological diversity size measured directly adult parasites, sizes ranging from 19.07 99.28 μm length 11.35 45.66 width. observation on important for studying ecology sea turtle since life cycle not yet fully understood.

متن کاملEvidence of regression of fibropapillomas in juvenile green turtles Chelonia mydas caught in Niterói, southeast Brazil.
Fibropapillomatosis is a disease characterized by cutaneous tumors affecting all marine turtle species, but mostly Chelonia mydas. The disease was first reported in 1938, and since then, the number of sightings has been increasing over the years. This disease can cause many complications in the affected animal and can lead to death, and is thus included in the many threats to marine turtle popu...
متن کاملFibropapillomatosis in green turtles Chelonia mydas in Brazil: characteristics of tumors and virus.
Fibropapillomatosis (FP) is a benign neoplasia that affects physiological functions of sea turtles and may lead to death. High prevalence of FP in sea turtle populations has prompted several research groups to study the disease and the associated herpesvirus, chelonid herpesvirus 5 (ChHV5). The present study detected and quantified ChHV5 in 153 fibropapilloma samples collected from green turtle...
متن کاملTesting dispersal hypotheses in foraging green sea turtles (Chelonia mydas) of Brazil.
Testing theories of dispersal is challenging in highly migratory species. In sea turtles, population size, geographic distance, natal homing, and ocean currents are hypothesized to affect dispersal. Little is known, however, about these mechanisms in sea turtles foraging along the South American coast. Green sea turtles feeding at Ubatuba (UB, n = 114) and Almofala (AF, n = 117), Brazil, were s...

Given the importance of sea turtle nesting beaches on the coast of Sistan and Baluchistan province, this project with the purpose of research and conservation of spawning habitat was conducted in 2018. The coast by the executive team and locals were monitored.Examining the Sistan and Baluchistan province, about 300 km off the coast of northern makoran Sea indicates the existence of 13 important...
